Doha, Qatar:

Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber, Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy (QOA), welcomed a delegation from the Cameroonian Olympic and Sports Committee and the National Olympic Academy of Cameroon during their recent visit to the capital.

The delegation included Timba Majore, Treasurer of the Cameroonian Olympic and Sports Committee; Dr. Mohammed Wabilo, President of the National Olympic Academy of Cameroon; and Dr. Tadu Amro, Director General of the National Olympic Academy of Cameroon.

During the meeting, the visitors were briefed on the QOA's pivotal role in promoting Olympic and sports culture within Qatari society and neighboring communities. They reviewed the academy's agenda and diverse programs, including postgraduate studies, specialized courses in various sports sciences, and Olympic education workshops. The delegation also explored the academy's newly launched website and the services it offers to users.

Al Jaber provided an overview of the QOA's history, organizational and administrative structure, and the evolution of its programs, courses, and activities since its inception. He highlighted the various sports and Olympic-themed courses organized throughout the year, aimed at enhancing cultural, academic, and Olympic awareness among participants in both their personal and professional lives.

Discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration between the QOA and the National Olympic Academy of Cameroon to achieve shared objectives.

Al Jaber led the delegation on a tour of the academy's facilities, showcasing its diverse services and amenities designed to create an optimal learning environment for students pursuing sports sciences. The tour demonstrated operational workflows during program and course sessions.

Concluding the visit, the delegation toured the QOA library, which houses over 7,000 books, references, and resources on sports games and related sciences, in addition to an audiovisual collection.

In his remarks, Al Jaber expressed the academy's warm welcome to the Cameroonian delegation and its commitment to collaborating with partners from the Cameroonian Olympic and Sports Committee and the National Olympic Academy in advancing Olympic and sports education for mutual benefit.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Wabilo praised the QOA's significant contributions to training sports leaders and affiliates, as well as educating the broader community on Olympic and sports culture."We are honored to visit this distinguished academic and practical institution," Dr. Wabilo said. "The advancements we witnessed today in scientific and academic fields are truly impressive and reflect tremendous efforts."He emphasized a strong desire to leverage Qatar's experience in this domain, noting that it could drive substantial progress in developing administrative, sports, and technical cadres, adding significant value to the sports sector.
