The Qatar Olympic Academy participated in the Qatar International Sports Engineering Conference and Exhibition in its first edition, under the patronage of H.E. Salah Bin Ghanem al-Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, and organized by the Qatar Society of Engineers, where the exhibition and conference held from March 27 to 29 at the Qatar National Convention Center QNCC.

 

The Qatar Olympic Academy has established a pavilion in which it presented a number of books of the Olympic Library containing more than six thousand and five hundred books, references and sources, and reviewed a number of its collections from historical Arab newspapers from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, which talk about the development and renaissance of the scientific, practical and economic state of Qatar, in addition to reviewing the agenda of programs, courses and workshops for the current year 2022

 

Qatar International Sports Engineering Conference and Exhibition, the first of its kind in Qatar and the region, witnessed a number of dialogue sessions and an accompanying specialized exhibition over three days, until the conference focused on six main themes related to sports engineering: the design and implementation of sports facilities, engineering equipment and sports tools, engineering and its role in the development of sports skills and performance, in addition to technology and artificial intelligence in sports engineering, as well as engineering in the service of people with special needs in the sports fields, and the session that The Qatari Olympic Academy participated in it, entitled Management of major sports events and sports heritage, in which Dr. Ali AbdulRahman Al Bakri, head of the sports development department of the Academy, who talked about the modern ways and methods of managing sports events, whether local, regional, international or Olympic, and how the State of Qatar gained experience and experience in this field and what benefits to the country and the citizen from these sporting events and what legacy is gained and returned to the country from these events.

 

The conference also devoted 15 dialogue sessions to a three-day research presentation in which several speakers, experts and academics at the top-echelon, from various national and international academic and engineering bodies, participated.

It is worth mentioning that the first edition of the conference was limited to participants from within Qatar, while the organizing committee is moving to expand the volume of participation in the next edition to include the countries of the region, Arab and international participation both at the level of the conference, dialogue sessions or the accompanying exhibition.

Qatar Olympic Academy Concludes Financial Management Lectures for Sports and Olympic Institutions

Doha: The Qatar Olympic Academy concluded the fourth module of its Advanced Diploma Program in Sports and Olympic Institutions Management, titled "Financial Management in Sports and Olympic Institutions," held on June 25 and 26. The module was preceded by two days during which students presented projects from the previous module, "Human Resources Management in Sports and Olympic Institutions." The lectures were delivered by Dr. Bilal Al-Salem, Professor of Accounting at the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University, who holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Sheffield, UK.

Closing of the Principles of the Olympic Movement Course in the Olympic System
